Solar Electricity: Photovoltaic
To request a FREE In-Home Energy Audit Click Here.
A solar photovoltaic system can provide year-round free electricity for
your home or commercial building. Excess Solar Electricity can be sent
back to the power companies electric grid through net-metering. With
net-metering the power company buys back the excess generated
electricity at the same retail rate that you pay. Your power meter
actually rolls back when you are producing more electricity than you are
consuming.
Solar Electricity is a Smart Investment
- Produce your own electricity to power your home.
- Sell back excess power to the power companies
- Rebate of $4/watt up to $20,000 from the state of Florida
Typical Savings:
A typical solar electric system can reduce your grid-dependant electric
use by up to half. By combining Solar Electric and Solar Hot Water, you
can not only save a ton of money, but can also dramatically reduce your
carbon footprint.
Federal Tax Credit:
Any Solar Photovoltaic or Solar Hot Water System installed after Jan 1st
2009 and before Dec 31st 2016 is eligible for a 30% Federal Tax Credit
for both residential and commercial applications with NO UPPER LIMIT.
This tax credit can be carried forward in future years if the tax credit
is too excessive. Homeowners must file
IRS
Form 5695 to receive the tax credit. Commercial customers can also
apply for and receive a 30% Goverment Grant, in lieu of the Federal Tax
Credit, before or at the time of installation.
Commercial Grant Details Here.
In Addition, Commercial customers can use an accelerated depreciation
method to depreciate the actual cost of a PV system (after 1/2 of the
30% tax credit has been deducted) over a 5-year period.
Florida State Rebate:
Any Solar Photovoltaic installed before June 30th 2010 is eligible for a
$4/watt rebate up to $20,000 for residential and up to $100,000 for
commercial. Please visit the
